Something that was important for our shopping centre was to have a well-known supermarket and we're pleased that we've attracted one of the largest chains to the centre. You can see the supermarket next to one of the multi-level car parks on the right hand side of the plan. There's a lovely indoor garden out in front of it.
One of the two major transport hubs in the centre is the bus interchange. It can be found on the southern side of the shopping centre bordering the food court area. It'll be very busy with all the buses on this side of town being routed through there.
The train station is a fantastic addition to this suburb with access to the brand new station just near the centre. To get there you go up the escalator on the north side of the centre to the area between the two multi-level car parks and follow the signs. It's very convenient for shoppers who don't want to arrive by car.
The public library has been expanded to include meeting rooms and a small theatre and it's great to have it in the centre. If you head to the eastern side of the centre, go past the information desk and then turn right. Go along the short narrow corridor and the public library is just there next to the multi-level car park.
There's a new cinema complex at this centre which will be a very exciting addition to the suburb. To get there you go up the escalator from the food court area. It should be very popular, I imagine.
An interesting feature of this centre is something we're calling the recharge lounge. It's going to be a space with couches, water bottle refillers and pod chairs with places to charge devices and just relax if you need to. It'll be located in the middle aisle of retail shops, to the left of the toilets.
Of course, we had to include a playground area for shopping centre visitors with children. We're calling it the fun zone. It's next to a cafe so that parents can have a coffee while they watch their children play.
